An 18th century Doune Pistol


An 18th century “ram's-horn” butt flintlock belt pistol by Thomas Murdoch of Doune.

Product Description

An 18th century Scottish  right-handed flintlock  “ram’s horn” butt belt pistol with silver ball trigger and pricker,  vacant silver oval and decorated silver insets on underside.  The lock plate has scroll decoration and inscribed T. Murdoch, and the belt hook has pierced decoration.  Made by Thomas Murdoch of Doune, circa 1760.
