Description

An elm quaich with silver disc carved ina. basket weave decoration, circa 1760.  The silver disc is inscribed ‘Sguab as e’ meaning ‘sweep it off’ in Gaelic as in ‘drink it all up’.  Length 13cm x 7.8cm width x 3.2.cm height.
