Description

A Scottish provincial silver gilt plaid brooch by P.G. Wilson, Inverness. Circa 1870. Depicting St Peter, Prince of Wales feathers, thistles in garter. 9cm diameter. Peter George Wilson was appointed Court Goldsmith and Jeweller supplying Highland accoutrements to Queen Victoria, Prince and Princess of Wales and other members of the Royal Family. His makers marks P.G.W and the Inverness mark of INS can be clearly seen.
