A Bernard Instone silver and enamel bracelet, Circa 1930, marked with his maker’s mark BI. Length 18cm x 2cm.
Bernard Instone was born in Birmingham in 1891. He received a scholarship to attend the Central School of Art aged just 12. He began working with John Paul Cooper. He then went to Berlin and made a brooch for the King of Bravia. In 1920 he set up his own business Langstone Silverworks, which was an amalgamation of his parent’s names.
